Ameren operates a diverse portfolio of electricity generating assets, totaling a net capacity of more than 16,300 megawatts, including Ameren's 80 percent share of the Electric Energy, Inc., Joppa, Ill., generating facilities.
  
Of this total, nearly 9,900 megawatts are owned by the regulated Missouri utility, AmerenUE, while the remainder are owned by Ameren's non-rate-regulated companies—AmerenEnergy Generating Company, AmerenEnergy Resources Generating Company and Medina Valley CoGen, LLC.
