New Ameren Security Director is Former SLMPD Chief of Staff
Workplace and School Violence Prevention Seminars are First Order of Business

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 12, 2013 – Former St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) Deputy Chief, Chief of Staff Tim Reagan has been named the new director of security for Ameren Corporation.

Reagan replaces long-time Ameren Security Director Joe Mullenschlader, who retires March 1. Reagan, who held the rank of lieutenant colonel, retired from the SLMPD Feb. 10 after 35 years of service.

“I think Ameren is a perfect fit for me,” Reagan said. “I have worked with Joe Mullenschlader for many years and have the utmost respect for Joe and his entire team. I know the relationships I have developed with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies will serve me well in my new position with Ameren.”

“Tim’s knowledge, wealth of experience and professionalism made him the best candidate to be our corporate security director,” said Jim Sobule, VP and General Counsel for Ameren Corporation. “We work closely with police agencies across our 64,000-square-mile service territory. I believe that Tim’s experience and relationships with these agencies will help make his transition to Ameren a smooth one.”

Reagan is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is a lifelong resident of St. Louis.

One of Reagan’s first tasks is to be on hand when the SLMPD hosts two seminars on the prevention of Workplace and School Violence. The free seminars on Feb. 15 are being hosted at Ameren Corporation, 1901 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis, MO, 63103.

• 8 a.m.-noon session – explore prevention tactics, policy implementation, addressing threats in the workplace, and law enforcement response.
• 1 p.m.-5 p.m. session – explore violence in an academic environment to include the best practices on policy implementation, a collaborative approach to threats by school administrators, parents and staff, as well as victim and police response.

To register, you must email registration@slmpd.org and include your place of employment, your supervisor’s name, and their contact telephone number. To attend the seminar, pre-registration is required. The final day of registration is Feb. 13.
