Hardship Assistance Grants Offered to Not-for-Profits

Ameren Illinois is providing grants of up to $2,000 to non-profit organizations who are experiencing difficulty paying their utility bills.  The funds are administered through the Energy Assistance Foundation, and are available to qualifying 501(c)3 organizations that have an active Ameren Illinois electric account.

“Being engaged in the communities where we live and work is a core value at Ameren Illinois,” said Shirley Stennis, director of Customer Service for Ameren Illinois.  “Our leadership believes it is important to provide resources to those organizations that provide important services to citizens in need.”

Grant amounts will be determined based on the number of applicants.  The maximum award is $2,000 and will be applied directly to the organization’s electric account.

For applications, non-profits can go to www.amerenillinois.com or call Ameren Illinois Customer Service at 1.800.232.2477.
