Ameren Illinois activated its Emergency Operations Center at 6 a.m., Wednesday, March 12 to assess wind- and ice-related outages in central Illinois.
Ameren Illinois started monitoring the potential for weather-related issues 24 hours in advance and in central Illinois had crews on stand-by to quickly and safely respond to outages.
Customers are asked to report any downed power lines to Ameren Illinois at 1-800-755-5000.
