Ameren Missouri Storm Restoration Update
Sunday Evening Statement from Kevin Anders, Vice President, Operations at Ameren Missouri
7 p.m.

"First and foremost, thank you to our customers for their patience as we continue to work restoring service as safely as efficiently as possible. We expect most of our customers to have the lights back on tonight.

Through the day, we had more than 400 Ameren Missouri personnel engaged in restoration efforts. They have been able to make great progress and will continue to work through the night. As part of our restoration efforts we:

  • Have made thousands of calls and sent many more emails and texts to update affected customers of their outage and their estimated safe restoration time.

  • Are placing calls and sending emails and texts to those customers whose service is not expected to be restored tonight.

  • Used a drone and helicopter to assess damage in the hardest hit areas of St. Charles and North St. Louis County.

In addition to Ameren Missouri crews, there are more than 100 additional linemen coming from as far away as Oklahoma and Wisconsin to start work early in the morning. We've also placed additional resources, a mobile command center and a materials trailer, in North St. Louis County to aid in restoration efforts. Customers can always check the Ameren Missouri outage map at outagemap.ameren.com for the latest information. With continued high temperatures, we advise customers to drink plenty of water and locate local cooling centers by calling 211."
