Separately, the boards of Ameren's utility operating subsidiaries have also declared regular quarterly dividends on all classes of the subsidiaries' preferred stock. The Central Illinois Light Company (AmerenCILCO) preferred stock dividend, declared Aug. 25, 2005, is payable Oct. 3, 2005, to shareholders of record on Sept. 9, 2005. The Central Illinois Public Service Company (AmerenCIPS) preferred stock dividend, declared Aug. 25, 2005, is payable Dec. 30 2005, to shareholders of record on Dec. 7, 2005. The Illinois Power Company (AmerenIP) preferred stock dividend, declared Aug. 25, 2005, is payable Nov. 1, 2005, to shareholders of record on Oct. 10, 2005. The Union Electric Company (AmerenUE) preferred stock dividend, declared Aug. 25, 2005, is payable Nov.15, 2005, to shareholders of record on Oct. 20, 2005.
With assets of $17 billion, Ameren serves 2.3 million electric customers and 900,000 natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile area of Missouri and Illinois.
