Ameren Missouri Successfully Restores Power to 47,000 Customers
Emergency Operation Center is Deactivating Today

Ameren Missouri has restored power to essentially all customers impacted by outages resulting from Friday’s severe storm. As of 11 a.m. less than 100 storm-related power outages remain. The company is deactivating its Emergency Operations Center, the headquarters for the utility's statewide storm restoration effort; however, the final stages of power restoration efforts and cleanup work will continue throughout the day.

The extensive damage caused by the tornado that hit parts of north St. Louis County is creating challenges to crews working to restore power for the few remaining customers experiencing outages. Ameren Missouri continues to encourage pedestrians to stay clear of crew work areas, as well as broken poles and tree limbs. Customers without power, or those wanting to report downed lines and other power-related issues, should call 1.800.552.7583.

“I am extremely proud of the outstanding restoration efforts of Ameren Missouri employees and those additional staff resources brought in from places such as Oklahoma, Kansas and Illinois,” says Richard Mark, senior vice president Customer Operations. “Many of our employees forfeited the opportunity to enjoy the holiday weekend with their families and friends because of their commitment to ensuring that power is restored to our customers as quickly as possible. We are grateful to them for their sacrifice.”

“We thank the members of our community for their patience during restoration efforts and we continue to remember and offer our support to those whose lives are negatively impacted by the resulting damage from Friday’s storm.”
