AmerenUE Announces Refinancing
AmerenUE, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE), announced today that it is offering $300 million of 5.30% senior secured notes due 2037. The transaction is expected to close on July 21, 2005. AmerenUE intends to use the net offering proceeds of approximately $296.1 million to repay outstanding short-term debt. The lead underwriters for the offering are Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Lehman Brothers Inc.
