Ameren Missouri working to restore power to customers in central and eastern Missouri

- Ameren Missouri is committed to restoring power for all of our customers as safely and as efficiently as possible.
- We have restored electric service to approximately 15,000 customers across the state since severe storms and a tornado passed through our service territory Wednesday night.
- We're making good progress restoring power to customers in central Missouri, specifically in Eldon and Jefferson City.
- By the end of the day, we expect to have service restored to all customers in Eldon and 70 percent of customers in Jefferson City.
- We have more than 350 crew members engaged in restoring service.
- Given the extent of the damage, we expect our restoration efforts to continue through Saturday in localized areas. We will continue to update our customers directly with estimated safe restoration times to give the most up-to-date information.

- Ameren Missouri reminds customers that safety is the first and foremost concern during any weather event. Stay clear of downed power lines and always call Ameren Missouri at 1.800.552.7583 or 911 if you see downed lines. Assume all downed power lines are energized. Stay clear of brush, shrubs and downed trees that may hide downed lines.
- At the peak, more than 16,000 customers were without service, with the largest concentration of outages in the Jefferson City and the Eldon areas.
- We're making good progress restoring power to customers in central Missouri.
- We're sending additional crew members to central Missouri tonight.
- By Friday evening, we expect to have service restored to all customers in Eldon and 70 percent of customers in Jefferson City.
- Given the extent of the damage, we expect our restoration efforts to continue through Saturday. We will continue to update our estimated safe restoration times to give customers the most up-to-date information.
- We have more than 250 crew members engaged in restoring service.
- There were approximately 95 utility poles damaged in Jefferson City. There are more than 30 poles damaged in Eldon.
- Ameren Missouri used helicopter and drones to better assess damage. We're also assisting local electric co-operatives in their damage assessment.
- For safety, natural gas service has been shut off to areas of Jefferson City. If you suspect a gas leak, please call Ameren Missouri at 1.800.552.7583.
- Crews spent Thursday conducting natural gas leak surveys in Jefferson City and Eldon. All surveys will be completed tonight.
