COLLINSVILLE, Ill., (March 3, 2022) – Ameren Illinois promoted Joseph Solari to vice president of Customer Experience, effective March 1. Solari was tapped to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Mary Heger, senior vice president of customer experience. Heger departs Ameren effective May 1, after 45 years in a variety of technology, financial, and customer experience leadership roles.
As the head of customer experience, Solari will lead Ameren Illinois' customer service, research and data analytics, customer engagement, and communications. He will report to Chairman and President Richard J. Mark.
Throughout his 25-year career, Solari has held a number of information technology leadership roles, leveraging technology and data to make it more convenient and more satisfying for Ameren customers to do business with the company. He was formerly director of Smart Grid Technologies and co-led the Ameren Illinois program to install smart meters at customer locations.
Solari earned his master's degree in business administration from Webster University, his bachelor's degree in computer science from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University. He served as a St. Louis Archdiocesan Pastoral Council member from 2013-2019. He and his wife, Debbie, are the parents of three children."Joe has a deep understanding of the dual role that people and technology play in creating a distinctive customer experience," Mark said.
