The Eastern Missouri Grid Transformation is planned to pass through six counties and the City of St. Louis and include more than 130 miles of new and upgraded transmission lines. The vast majority of the lines would be rebuilt along existing corridors and co-located with existing Ameren facilities. A new substation, to be called Graus, would be built near Orchard Farm in St. Charles County.

"We are focused on keeping costs as low as possible throughout this project. Our team is working to deliver more value to customers for every dollar that's put into the energy grid," said Shawn Schukar, chairman and president of ATXI. "This project was identified as part of a multi-year study as the best option to address reliability issues for customers and bring economic development benefits to communities. Growing communities require reliable power to attract new businesses, expand existing businesses and create jobs."

Each open house will offer information about the project and an opportunity to provide feedback on potential route segments. Sessions will include the same information, with no formal presentation. A self-paced virtual engagement and comment map will also be available online starting March 2. More details can be found on the project website.

"Engaging with the community, listening to feedback and hearing out concerns is a top priority for our project team," said Jim Jontry, project manager for the Eastern Missouri Grid Transformation Project. "Community members help guide our routing process by telling us about opportunities and sensitivities that may exist in their area. We encourage all residents who are interested in asking questions or sharing comments to attend an open house and talk to our project team."

The Eastern Missouri Grid Transformation Project is scheduled to be in service by 2032. For more information, visit Ameren.com/EasternMOGrid, email Connect@EasternMOGrid.com or call the project hotline at 877.468.1823.
