Ameren Illinois and Ameren Missouri Temporarily Suspend Disconnects and Waiver Late Payment Fees (COVID-19)

ST. LOUIS (March 14, 2020) In response to the economic hardships that our residential and business customers may experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective today, Ameren Illinois and Ameren Missouri will suspend service disconnections and forgive late payment fees for non-payment through at least May 1.

"The COVID-19 pandemic may result in lost income for some of our customers, particularly the most vulnerable. We want all of our customers to have peace of mind that they will have energy service as we navigate through this unprecedented situation," said Richard J. Mark, Chairman and President, Ameren Illinois. 

"As a provider of essential services, we are committed to helping our customers get through these difficult and unpredictable times," said Marty Lyons, Chairman and President, Ameren Missouri. "Effective immediately, Ameren Missouri will suspend all disconnections for non-payment and forgive any late payment fees for residential and business customers. We encourage customers who are having difficulty paying their bill to contact our customer care team or visit us at AmerenMissouri.com for a variety of payment options. We will continue to look for ways to further support the needs of our customers and our communities throughout the duration of the pandemic."
