Ameren Missouri to Sponsor Permit Workshops at the Lake of the Ozarks
The Workshops will Help Streamline the Permit Process for Lakeside Projects

Homeowners, builders, landscape contractors, realtors and interested members of the general public at the Lake of the Ozarks will have an opportunity to learn more about the permitting process and project boundary by attending an informational workshop sponsored by Ameren Missouri.

Two workshops have been planned. The first will be held Feb. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Tan-Tar-A Family Resort (Crystal Ballroom), 494 Tan-Tar-A Drive in Osage Beach, Mo. The second one is scheduled for Feb. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Warsaw Community Center (Harbor Room), 181 West Harrison St. in Warsaw, Mo.

Topics will include allowable practices and structures along the shoreline, how to apply for permits, and what can be done to speed up permit approvals. Local fire marshals will be on hand to discuss electrical safety. Several members of the Ameren Missouri’s shoreline management team will be available to answer questions, and provide resources for permit applications.

Ameren Missouri is sponsoring the event in cooperation with the Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance. Individuals who are interested in attending should pre-register by contacting the Ameren Missouri Shoreline Management office at 573.365.9212.

Ameren Missouri conducts a range of shoreline management activities at the Lake of the Ozarks under provisions of its federal license for the operation of Bagnell Dam and Osage Power Plant, which created the Lake in 1931. Details can be found at AmerenMissouri.com.
