Ameren Missouri Teams Up with the St. Louis Blues for a Tweet-Up to Help Customers Make a Power Play for Energy Efficiency
ActOnEnergy® Savers Contest Awards Missouri Residents with Nearly $10,000 in Home Energy Improvements

As Missouri residents begin spring cleaning, Ameren Missouri is here to help sweep home energy inefficiency issues to the curb. The company announced today an online energy efficiency contest – ActOnEnergy® Savers – to help residents manage their energy use and save money in the process. This is part of the greater Ameren Missouri ActOnEnergy initiative, in which the company will invest $147 million in energy efficiency programs over the next three years.

Through April 23, Ameren Missouri customers can tell us why they need energy improvements to their homes, for a chance to win the grand prize of up to $5,000 worth of energy-efficient appliances and home improvements. Nine additional winners will receive a $500 gift card to a home improvement store.

Submissions must be made on Facebook at Facebook.com/AmerenMissouri and include a photo and brief 50-word essay highlighting the need for energy home improvements and how the ActOnEnergy Savers Team can help. The grand prize winner will be determined by an in-home energy assessment conducted by the ActOnEnergy Savers Team, which consists of Ameren Missouri energy efficiency experts. All winners will be announced in late May.

“Through our ActOnEnergy initiative, we’re offering a variety of ways to help residential and business customers better manage their energy usage,” said Michael Moehn, senior vice president, Ameren Missouri Customer Operations. “Knowing how active many of our customers are on Facebook, we want to be a resource as they seek information to better use energy, and are excited to offer new appliances and home improvements through ActOnEnergy Savers.”

The St. Louis Blues Celebrate Energy Efficiency
To kick off the ActOnEnergy Savers contest, Ameren Missouri has partnered with the
St. Louis Blues to host a social media tweet-up at Pi Pizzeria in downtown St. Louis on March 27. Space is limited to those who RSVP, but individuals unable to attend can join in the event fun by following hashtag #ActOnEnergy on Twitter and tweeting their thoughts as well.

During the tweet-up, St. Louis Blues Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk, Right Wing Chris Stewart, and Fox Sports Midwest Anlayst Darren Pang will be on hand to sign autographs and interact with lucky fans.

ActOnEnergy Programs Save Energy and Offer Cash Rebates
Launching earlier this year, Ameren Missouri’s ActOnEnergy initiative offers 11 energy efficiency programs, called “Savers,” to help residential and business customers manage their energy. Savers programs provide customers with valuable rebates and incentives including: discounts on CFL and LED light bulbs (LightSavers); rebates for old, working refrigerators and freezers that the company picks up for free (ApplianceSavers); and as warmer temperatures approach, the CoolSavers program provides rebates on programmable thermostats, AC tune ups, and up to $650 off efficient air conditioning systems.

Go to ActOnEnergy.com for more details on rebates and incentives.
