Ameren Missouri Expects to Restore Power to Most Customers by Sunset
Crews will Work into the Night to Complete Restoration

Ameren Missouri expects nearly all 5,578 remaining customers impacted by Wednesday’s severe storms to have power restored by sunset today. A few remaining customers in the North County area and hardest-hit areas may be without power into the evening hours as crews work to replace numerous damaged and broken poles and repair equipment. At the peak of the outages, 43,000 customers were without power.

“We want to ensure everyone’s power is restored efficiently and safely,” said Michael Moehn, senior vice president, Customer Operations. “At this point, if your neighbors have power and you don’t, please let us know by reporting the outage at AmerenMissouri.com or contacting Customer Service. Sometimes during the restoration process, a single home may be left without power and can go undetected.”

Currently the company has 900 workers deployed, most of them line crews. Vegetation management employees and field checkers have completed a majority of their assignments.

Ameren Missouri’s primary concern is the safety of customers and employees. The most important safety rule is to stay clear of downed power lines. Always call Ameren Missouri at 1.800.552.7583 or 911 if you see low-hanging or downed lines and assume all downed power lines are energized. Also, stay clear of brush, shrubs and downed trees that may hide downed lines.

Additional storm safety information is available at the Outage Center on Ameren Missouri’s website – AmerenMissouri.com.
