Ameren Missouri crews worked throughout the night to restore power to customers impacted by high winds and downed trees that damaged power lines. Despite continued severe conditions, crews were able to restore electricity to more than 16,000 customers overnight, mostly in the St. Louis Metro area. In all, crews have restored power to 60,938 customers in just 18 hours. Approximately 7,000 customers remain without electricity. Nearly all customers impacted by the storm should have power restored by the end of the day today.
“We know electricity is critical to our customers’ quality of life and our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power in these windy conditions,” said Michael Moehn, senior vice president, Ameren Missouri Customer Operations. “We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding as we continue to work on their behalf.”
Ameren Missouri workers from outstate are in the Metro region this morning assisting with restoration efforts. The company has nearly 800 workers in communities restoring power. Customers who are without power, or those wanting to report other power-related issues, should contact Ameren Missouri at AmerenMissouri.com/outage or by calling 1.800.552.7583. Never assume the company is aware of your outage. Please stay away from downed lines and always assume they are energized.
