Ameren Missouri's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) opened at 2:00 p.m. today to prepare for additional severe weather that is forecast for our service territory.
Ameren Missouri crews continue working in the field to repair damage and restore power from overnight storms. As more severe weather develops, employees will be ready to be deployed to the hardest hit areas. We use a system of more than 100 Quantum Weather™ stations across the state to help predict which areas may be affected by storms. These preparations aid us in positioning crews and resources ahead of a storm so we can promptly and efficiently restore power in case of an outage.
Safety is our priority. Customers are reminded to stay away from downed power lines and assume they are energized at all times. Please report downed lines by calling 911 or Ameren Missouri at 1.800.552.7583.
While every effort is made to restore power as quickly as possible, customers with special needs—including those with medical conditions, seniors, handicapped and others who are dependent on electric service—may consider making alternative arrangements if outages in their areas persist.
If you experience an outage, you are encouraged to report it by going to AmerenMissouri.com/Outage or by calling 1.800.552.7583. Outage information and preparation information are available at the Ameren Missouri Outage Center at AmerenMissouri/Outage.com.
