Ameren Missouri Makes Significant Progress Restoring Power to Customers

Ameren Missouri crews have restored power to approximately 95 percent of the customers who lost service due to Wednesday night’s storms in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Currently, 2,200 customers are without power – with the majority of those outages occurring today when additional storms passed through southeast Missouri.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will remain open as crews work throughout the evening to ensure that all outages are resolved. Ameren Missouri expects restoration efforts to be completed this evening.

“We’re working as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible to restore service to the impacted areas,” said Dave Wakeman, senior vice president of operations and technical services. “We know it’s difficult and frustrating to be without electricity. Therefore, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to make progress.”

As restoration efforts continue, Ameren Missouri reminds customers that safety is the first and foremost concern. Please stay clear of downed power lines and always call Ameren Missouri at 1.800.552.7583 or 911 if you see downed lines. Stay clear of brush, shrubs and downed trees that may hide downed lines, and assume all downed power lines are energized.

Customers with outages should call 1.800.552.7583 or go to AmerenMissouri.com/Outage to report their outage. Additionally, outage information is available at the Ameren Missouri Outage Center at AmerenMissouri.com.
