Ameren Missouri is providing customers more ways to take control of winter energy usage through its ActOnEnergy® energy efficiency electric and natural gas rebate programs. There are a variety of program options for customers who want to participate.
Exclusively for residents who receive a combination of both Ameren Missouri gas and electric service, the ActOnEnergy programs provide rebates on the installation of ceiling insulation, air sealing and ENERGY STAR® certified windows, when recommended during an ActOnEnergy home energy analysis. For only $25, an auditor will perform a home energy analysis, assess a customer’s energy usage, provide a detailed report outlining steps to take to maximize energy savings, and potentially install up to $200 worth of free energy efficiency improvements. Taking advantage of the Ameren Missouri rebates and completing the improvements identified in the analysis can help customers save approximately 20 percent or more on their energy bill, thereby controlling utility costs this winter, and year-round.
Another energy and money saving option for Ameren Missouri residential natural gas customers includes rebates on wall or ceiling insulation, a tank storage water heater or a programmable thermostat. Ameren Missouri also offers a rebate of up to $300 for customers who buy and install an energy efficient gas boiler or natural gas furnace.
For residential electric customers, ActOnEnergy also offers rebates for a variety of energy efficiency measures including $1,200 for installing a ground source heat pump or up to $800 for replacing an old HVAC system with an energy saving high-efficiency model.
