All four officers will report directly to Rainwater.

"This new structure will align our company's organization and financial reporting more closely with our three distinct areas of business," says Rainwater, adding that the new structure will also improve the company's focus on providing top tier service for customers and bottom-line results for stockholders.

companies. All operations currently reporting to Cisel will continue to
do so under the new structure.

  * Senior Vice President of Generation R. Alan Kelley is elected president
and chief executive officer of AmerenEnergy Resources, continuing his
responsibility for all non rate-regulated generation but adding
responsibility for non rate-regulated power marketing. Reporting to
Kelley will be Andy M. Serri, president of AmerenEnergy Marketing, the
wholesale and retail power marketing subsidiary.

  * Ameren Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas R.
Voss is elected to the additional position of president and chief
executive officer of AmerenUE (Ameren's Missouri rate-regulated
operations). He will assume the additional responsibilities of nuclear
operations headed by Charles D. Naslund, senior vice president and chief
nuclear officer, and of AmerenEnergy, the power marketing and risk
management agent for AmerenUE. Vice President Shawn E. Schukar will

corporation's electric transmission operations. Senior Vice President
of AmerenUE Energy Delivery Richard J. Mark will also continue to report
