When Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks wanted to upgrade its office and atrium lighting, they turned to Ameren Missouri’s BizSavers® energy efficiency program for assistance. In total, Central Bank received nearly $7,000 in incentives, which covered more than 40 percent of the upgrade costs, reducing both the upfront cost of new materials, as well as reducing the overall payback period of the new energy efficient lights. Central Bank will be able to cut its total annual energy use by more than 64,000 kilowatt hours, a savings of almost $5,000 annually.
The upgraded LED lighting in the bank not only reduces energy usage and saves Central Bank on its energy statement; it also provides customers with an enhanced banking experience. LEDs provide a more natural light than comparable incandescent or fluorescent lights and will last longer, reducing Central Bank’s maintenance costs and minimizing disruption to bank customers for lamp replacement.
“Our focus with the BizSavers® program is providing our customers with the chance to implement new, energy efficient technologies without having to bear the full cost of upgrades,” said Rich Wright, manager of Ameren Missouri Energy Efficiency. “With Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks, our partnership yielded some great savings and helped the bank in its commitment to offering great service to its customers, employees and surrounding community.”
Ameren Missouri’s BizSavers® program offers cash incentives and technical assistance to commercial and industrial electric customers for improving energy efficiency in their facilities.
