Ameren Missouri restores power to more than 20,000 customers

Here is the latest information on the storm restoration efforts from Ameren Missouri as of 9 a.m. Sunday, July 15. The latest outage information is available at AmerenMissouri.com/Outage.

 

  • Since the storms hit Saturday afternoon and evening, causing widespread damage, we've been able to restore more than 20,000 customers.
    • We made good progress over night and are focused on restoring the last several thousand customers.
    • We called in crews from other parts of the state, including northeast and southeast Missouri, and had crews working overnight to repair damage.
    • Additional crews began work at 4 a.m. today.
    • Downed trees and lightning strikes caused the damage.
    • We have several hundred work orders remaining as of 9 a.m. Sunday.
      • We expect the work to continue into this evening.
      • We expect most customers to be back on by the end of the day today.
    • The largest concentration of outages occurred in St. Louis and St. Louis County.

  • We appreciate our customers' patience.
    • We're committed to restoring power for all of our customers as safely and as efficiently as possible.
    • Restoration is prioritized in a way that gets the largest number of customers' power back safely and quickly.
    •  As we get further into the outage, we are working individual scattered outages, which take more time.
  • Ameren Missouri reminds customers that safety is the first and foremost concern during any weather event.
    • Stay clear of downed power lines.

    • Assume all downed power lines are energized.
    • Stay clear of brush, shrubs and downed trees that may hide downed lines.
