"Many individuals and families struggle with the costs associated with maintaining a home," said Richard Mark, senior vice president of AmerenUE energy delivery. "Dollar More offers many people the helping hand they need. And thanks to our partnership with the St. Louis Rams, giving to Dollar More has never been easier. Your Dollar More contribution \- even just a dollar or two a month \- can make an enormous difference to those receiving assistance. Recipients can use Dollar More funds to pay for a variety of home energy costs, including electricity, natural gas, oil and propane."
Funded by voluntary contributions from Ameren customers and Ameren Corporation, Ameren's Dollar More helps Missouri and Illinois families stay warm in the winter, cool in the summer and healthy all year long. All Dollar More contributions are distributed through a network of human services agencies. The United Way and Ameren share administrative costs of the program so no contributions are used to cover these costs.
"The Rams are proud to team up with our valued sponsor Ameren to deliver this much needed assistance to the bi-state area," said James McCallum, vice president of business affairs for the St. Louis Rams. "Giving back to the community is a priority of the entire Rams organization and by leveraging our unique team assets and partnering with like-minded civic oriented companies such as Ameren, together we are able to make a greater impact on the lives of those who need it most."
Ameren, through its subsidiaries, serves 2.4 million electric and nearly one million natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile area of Illinois and Missouri.
