Over 550,000 restored in Metro St. Louis Area; 360,000 Remain without Power
Ameren companies have restored approximately 550,000 customers in Metro St. Louis affected by the devastating July 19 and July 21 storms---360,000 remain without power in the Metro area.

That number of restored customers grew by 130,000 since last night alone. A late morning storm July 21 caused service disruptions for an estimated 200,000 additional customers---100,000 in the Metro St. Louis area and 100,000 in Illinois.

STAFFING: More than 3,600 contractors and employees\-up from 2,700 yesterday-- are working to restore power. These workers are from several states.

A number of companies have sent crews and others have committed additional people, so more crews will be arriving in coming days.
