With AmerenUE gift certificates, you can give the gift of energy this holiday season -- or at any time. Aside from being a great gift (maybe to accompany that new electronic gadget you're giving for the holidays?), AmerenUE gift certificates can also be purchased as charitable contributions to help the less fortunate pay their energy bills.
To make purchasing gift certificates easier, AmerenUE's Gift Certificate Program is now on the Ameren Web site at http://www.ameren.com/. They are available in $10, $25, $50, $75 and $100 denominations over the Web through a vendor, CertifiChecks.com. You can also purchase AmerenUE gift certificates by phone at 877.770.4438 or 877.770.GIFT.
Anyone can purchase a gift certificate, but the recipient must be an AmerenUE customer to redeem it. This year, for the first time, there will be no shipping and handling charges.
AmerenUE gift certificates can only be applied to energy charges. If the certificate is greater than the amount owed, the excess payment will be credited to the recipient's next monthly bill.
AmerenUE supplies energy services to 1.2 million electric customers and 125,000 natural gas customers in Missouri. In total, Ameren's utility companies provide energy services to 2.4 million electric and nearly one million natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile service area in Illinois and Missouri.
