With UE gift certificates, you can give the gift of energy this holiday season—or at any time. Aside from being a great gift (maybe to accompany that new electronic gadget you're giving for the holidays?), UE gift certificates can also be purchased as charitable contributions to help the less fortunate pay their energy bills. It’s also a great way to help a favorite charity cover its bills during times of economic trouble when contributions may be down.
To make purchasing gift certificates easier, UE’s Gift Certificate Program is now on the Ameren Web site at www.ameren.com. They are available in $10, $25, $50, $75 and $100 denominations over the Web through a vendor, CertifiChecks.com. You can also purchase UE gift certificates by phone at 877.770.4438 or 877.770.GIFT.
Anyone can purchase a gift certificate, but the recipient must be a UE customer to redeem it. UE gift certificates can only be applied to energy charges. If the certificate is greater than the amount owed, the excess payment will be credited to the recipient’s next monthly bill.

Ameren’s utility companies provide energy services to 2.4 million electric and nearly one million natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile service area of Illinois and Missouri.
