AmerenUE Offers Donations to Special Olympics of Missouri Through eBills

To continue in the spirit of giving, AmerenUE will donate $10 to the Special Olympics of Missouri every time a UE customer signs up for eBill between now and December 31, 2009. “By simply switching to eBill, our customers can help the Special Olympics this holiday season and help the environment by reducing the amount of paper we use in our daily lives,” says Richard Mark, Senior Vice President, Customer Operations.

On December 3, UE announced “$100 for 100.” A total of 500 families received $100 energy gift certificates to use towards their utility bills. This giving initiative totaled $50,000. These were families who might not necessarily qualify for aid through traditional energy assistance programs.

“We are obligated as community leaders to reach out to our neighbors—not just through direct donations but also through our daily business practices like with this eBill program,” says Warner Baxter, President & CEO of AmerenUE.

Customers can enroll in eBill and find out more about the program by visiting www.givewithamerenue.com.

AmerenUE, founded in 1902, provides electric and gas service to approximately 1.2 million customers across central and eastern Missouri, including the greater St. Louis area. UE serves 57 Missouri counties and 500 towns. The company's electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. For more information, visit www.amerenue.com.
