Ameren Missouri Makes Significant Progress on Power Restoration
Up to 150 Poles are damaged or broken

Ameren Missouri restoration efforts are significantly decreasing outages resulting from Sunday’s severe wind storm. “We think we will have most, if not all, our customers’ power restored by close of business Tuesday,” says Richard Mark, Senior Vice President, Customer Operations. “Although we have currently identified 150 poles as damaged or broken, as of 6 pm, power has been restored to more than 30,000 customers impacted by the storm.”

Field checkers, tree trimmers and lineman (250 local and 300 from out-of-state) are aggressively working to restore power for the remaining one percent of Ameren Missouri’s 1.2 million customers experiencing outages.

Power has been restored to all customers in St. Charles County. Additionally, we expect most, if not all, customers in Jefferson County to have power by the end of the night.

As always, Ameren Missouri’s primary concern is the safety of customers and employees. The most important safety rule is to stay clear of downed power lines. Always call Ameren Missouri at 1-800-552-7583 or 911 if you see low-hanging or downed lines and assume all downed power lines are energized.

While every effort is being made to restore power as quickly as possible, customers with special needs—including those with medical conditions, seniors, handicapped and others who are dependent on electric service—may wish to consider making alternative arrangements if outages in their areas persist.

Additional storm safety information is available on the Storm Outage Center on Ameren Missouri’s Web site – www.amerenmissouri.com.www.amerenmissouri.com.
