Ameren Missouri Focuses on Final Restoration Efforts While Reaching Out to Tornado Victims
Ameren Missouri Donates $25,000 to Aid Residents of Joplin

Ameren Missouri crews have restored power to a majority of the customers who lost service during Monday's severe storms. As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, approximately 5,100 customers are without electricity, down from 72,000 customers Monday afternoon.

As workers continue to restore power to customers in Ameren Missouri's service territory, the Company and its employees are reaching out to assist victims of the Joplin tornado. Ameren Missouri is donating $25,000 to the Red Cross in Joplin.

"We know that it takes people and financial resources to recover from devastation of this magnitude," said Warner Baxter, president and CEO of Ameren Missouri. "During times of need, we believe it's important to reach out to our neighbors, just as they have done for us in the past. We hope our donation will help the citizens of Joplin begin rebuilding their lives."

With severe weather in the forecast, Ameren Missouri continues to monitor approaching storms through Quantum Weather, a collaboration with scientists at St. Louis University. Monitoring equipment, located on Ameren Missouri facilities throughout the state, provides critical information about incoming storms and where severe damage may occur. Ameren Missouri uses this information to facilitate faster restoration of power to its customers following destructive storms.

Ameren Missouri asks customers who are still without power to call 1.800.552.7583.
Additional storm information is available on the Outage Center pages at AmerenMissouri.com.
