Ameren Missouri donates utility truck to State Technical College

Linn, Mo. (Oct. 29, 2019) – Recently Ameren Missouri Central Division Director Chip Webb handed over the keys of a digger derrick truck to State Technical College of Missouri. The company donated the truck to the school and it will provide learning experiences for students in the utilities technology program.

"This truck will continue to help our community in new ways," said Webb. "It's great to think that the students training with this truck now could be working as linemen at Ameren Missouri in a few years."

"Providing real life experiences is critical to training students for their careers. Utility workers use these trucks every day. Students can now get the hands-on experience that helps bring this industry to life," said Dr. Shawn Strong, president of State Tech. "Thank you to Ameren Missouri for making this possible."
