Ameren Missouri donates $50,000 to Lake Regional Health System

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Lake Regional Health System’s initiative to rally community support for advanced health care services received a boost through a generous gift of $50,000 from Ameren Missouri.

Ameren’s donation supports Lake Regional’s Commitment to Caring initiative. Through the initiative, Lake Regional is seeking to transform health care delivery for two vitally important services: heart care and cancer treatment services. Currently, heart disease affects one in three Americans; cancer strikes nearly two in five.

“We care about the people we serve, and investments in our regional health care systems only make us stronger as a community,” said Chip Webb, central division director for Ameren Missouri. “The enhancements planned for Lake Regional Health System will help ensure area residents and visitors to the lake region have access to world-class cardiac and cancer care for years to come.”

Lake Regional Chief Executive Officer Dane W. Henry, FACHE, expressed his gratitude towards Ameren Missouri for their dedicated support.

“Money raised through our philanthropy and fund development programs are very important to Lake Regional,” Henry said. “One hundred percent of that money goes directly towards projects that enhance our clinical services and offerings to the community. By donating to Commitment to Caring, Ameren has improved the lives of countless individuals who depend on us for exceptional health care.”

Lake Regional Development Council has six committees dedicated to improving lives through advancing clinical quality, expanding access to care and enhancing services for the community. Ameren belongs to the Captain’s Circle committee, a network of community-minded businesses whose philanthropic support is key to helping Lake Regional provide the quality health care the community deserves. Lori Hoelscher, regional account executive of Ameren Missouri, serves as committee chair of Captain’s Circle.
