Ameren Missouri Storm Restoration Update 2 p.m. May 22, 2025

SUMMARY UPDATE

  • We expect to restore service to nearly all customers impacted by the May 16 storm by the end of the day Sunday.
  • Approximately 2,700 workers continue efforts to rebuild destroyed energy infrastructure as safely and efficiently as possible.
  • Customer and crew safety is the first and foremost concern.
  • We are working closely with the proper authorities who are determining when it is safe for homes and businesses to receive power.
  • We deeply appreciate our customers’ patience and remain dedicated to rebuilding our infrastructure until every customer who can be restored is restored.

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Approximately 200,000 customers have been restored since the initial impact on Friday, and approximately 8,000 customers remain without power as of 1 p.m.
  • More than 460 poles were broken in the storm and more extensive damage continues to be uncovered.

  • Estimated Safe Restoration Times are being added to the outage map as they become available for the outages located within the red polygon overlay.
    • These times will be refined as we continue to assess and repair damage.

  • To aid in restoration, mobile command centers and trailers with additional materials have been placed in the hardest hit areas.
